Easy Street Records is easily my favorite record store in Seattle. They carry a ton of Northwest music, have super friendly and helpful staff, and cater to pretty much everyone’s taste. They also regularly have live music in-store. The entire first floor of ESR is CDs & DVDs (both new and used). The walls are covered in fantastic posters, art, collectibles, and featured music.
Upstairs is the analog section, primarily featuring a massive selection of vinyl: new, used, bargain bins, and a huge collection of 45s of a wide range of genres. You can spend hours here, perusing soul singles, scoping new records, and even browsing a fairly large cassette section.
Once your arms have grown tired from carrying around your glorious record haul, you can stop and have a cup of coffee or a bite at the Easy Street Cafe, connected to the side of the record store. The food is good, and most meals are under $10. One of my favorite parts of the cafe is reading the menu itself, full of dishes named after famous musicians, genres or bands. Hungry for some “New Wave O’s Rancheros?” How about some “Hall and Oats?” Or if you’re in the mood for something rich, try “Bennie & The Jets” (eggs benedict.) What can I say, I’m a sucker for a good pun!

I love this store! I live in Spokane, but try to check in whenever I find myself on the western side of the mountains.
